If you’re like me, you’ve probably spent a nice amount of your time at home these past few weeks searching for flights. While, for the time being, all non-essential travel is strongly discouraged if not prohibited by some governments, this ban will eventually be lifted. Sometime over the next few months, you’ll once again be able to venture out, hop on a flight, and travel. As if the mere thought of getting to travel wasn’t exciting enough, United Airlines is making travel a little easier for college students this summer.
Now through June 30th, 2020, travelers ages 18 to 22 can score exclusive discounts on flights operated by United Airlines. To take advantage of this promotion, all flights must be booked by June 30th. However, travelers can receive discounts on flights after June 30th. Essentially, you can travel anytime but, to take advantage of United’s student discount, you must have all flights booked by June 30th. With United’s student discount, you’ll be able to score exclusive deals on flights throughout the summer. Here’s how to book.

You can access the registration page by clicking this link.

Be sure to select “Young traveler discounted travel” when searching for cheap flights using the United Airlines app.
The next screen will present you with the standard flight search tool. From this screen, simply fill out all required fields to view available flights for your destinations and dates. United’s young traveler fares are available on one-way, round-trip, and multi-city itineraries.
Important Things to Keep In Mind When Booking Flights
Even though you may be presented with a number of available flights, the young traveler discount may not be available for your desired flight. Luckily, there’s an easy way to verify whether or not you’re getting the best deal. Simply look below the fare. If you see the word “Discounted” below the quoted fare, that fare is included in the young traveler discount. If you do not see the word “Discounted” below the quoted fare, that fare is not included in the young traveler promotion.
